Teaching Children to Love the Land
Summer Workshops for Kids  2018

Living History  Ages 7-12
July 2 10:00-3:00 and July 3 10:00-3:00   From Tipis to Petroglyphs: Native Americans of the Shining Mountains
at the Picnic House

Imagine a time when the buffalo roamed the prairies by the millions and the hoofbeats of wild mustangs rang out in canyon walls. If this sounds exciting, then climb on board for an adventure inspired by the Native Americans of Colorado. Whether you are intrigued by ancient petroglyphs or curious about the earliest ecologists, this workshop is for you! We will be doing a variety of hands-on activities to learn about the Ute and other tribes. Whether it is painting, crafts, stories, or writing that you enjoy, there is something for everyone!

Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation is proud to have the support of the Nora Roberts Foundation for this program.

A few details to keep in mind:
