Summer Workshops for Kids  2018


Into the Wild  Ages 7-12  10:00-3:00
Encounter nature at its best through the Into the Wild series! A new adventure awaits each day as you explore, experiment, observe, and hike the magnificent grounds of Cherokee Ranch and Castle.  Get ready for a wild time as you delve into a new mystery each day and learn how to be a citizen scientist.

Monday June 18  Pollinator Power   10:00-3:00
at the Picnic House

Why are pollinators in trouble and what can humans do to help them? Celebrate  National Pollinator Week by participating in a butterfly monitoring project and making some seed bombs.

Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation is proud to have the support of the Nora Roberts Foundation for this program.

A few details to keep in mind:

  • Check the specific workshop for time and location.
  • Your child will need to bring his/her own lunch and a healthy snack for the afternoon.
  • Send plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat and your child should wear weather-appropriate apparel, including closed-toe shoes—we may walk a bit outside.
  • Release of Liability Waiver and Camp Activities and Medication Policy forms must be signed and turned in at the beginning of the workshop.
  • You will receive a detailed email regarding the workshop about a week ahead of time.
  • If a participant’s behavior is such that it is deemed a risk or danger to self or others, the workshop staff reserves the right to end participation.
  • Transportation to and from camp is the family’s responsibility.  Please be aware thatthere are no accommodations for early arrivals or late pick-ups.
